Tax News Blog Archive September 2009

New: Updated Tools Page

We built this website to provide our clients and friends with information about us, fresh tax news, and links to the kinds of online tools we often use. Today we're publishing an updated "Links & Tools" page.

Changes include:

Reorganized page to make finding links easier.

Highlighting of new additions to the page.

A link to the IRS's withholding calculator.

The last item, the IRS withholding calculator, typifies why we built the page. Frequently, people call us wondering if they need to adjust their tax withholding level. Using a tool like this, you can discover exactly what pieces of information you need to make this decision.

Announcing the Tax News Blog

To Our Clients & Friends:

This year has already had more than its share of political controversy and potentially significant policy changes.  This trend, of course, affects tax issues. We plan to spotlights a few of the upcoming tax code changes on this site. As we come across tax and accounting news, we’ll be posting those items and relevant analysis here. That way, as you prepare your documents for 2009 and 2010 tax returns, you can have some idea of what is changing.

You can get our entries by email or subscribe to the feed by clicking the links on the right. Feel free to contact us with your questions and for more information.

Sincerely, Mark & Jim
